For UAE companies on Google Workspace, Gemini is the easiest AI assistant to adopt because it works inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet and Drive. Staff use it to draft and summarise emails, write documents, analyse spreadsheets and take meeting notes. For larger companies, Gemini Enterprise, launched by Google Cloud in October 2025, adds a single chat interface and agents that can work across Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce and SAP (AI Business).
What does Gemini do inside Google Workspace?
| App | Useful for | Watch out for |
|---|
| Gmail | Drafting replies, summarising long threads | Check tone for important clients |
| Docs | First drafts, rewriting, summaries | Facts and figures need checking |
| Sheets | Building formulas, analysing data, creating tables | Verify calculations before decisions |
| Slides | Draft decks from a brief or document | Brand templates still apply |
| Meet | Notes, summaries and action items | Tell participants notes are being taken |
| Drive | Answers from your files | Only as good as your file permissions |

What does Gemini Enterprise add?
Gemini Enterprise is aimed at company-wide use. According to Google Cloud's October 2025 launch, it gives employees a chat interface powered by Gemini models to analyse information and run agents that automate processes, and it connects to data across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce and SAP (AI Business). That makes it relevant even for companies that do not run entirely on Google.
Is Gemini safe for UAE company data?
Google states that Workspace data is not used to train its models outside your organisation without permission. The bigger practical risk is permissions: Gemini can see whatever each user can see. Before rollout:
- Review files shared with "anyone with the link" or the whole company.
- Tidy shared drives by team and project.
- Label sensitive folders, such as HR and finance.
- Follow the UAE Personal Data Protection Law for personal data (UAE Government portal).
How do you roll out Gemini?
- Clean permissions on shared drives and over-shared files.
- Pick three pilot teams, such as sales, finance and operations.
- Train by role with five real tasks each.
- Write a one-page policy on approved uses and what never goes in.
- Review after 60 days: adoption, time saved and which tasks should become agents.
AI use is already common: 70.1% of the UAE's working-age population used AI tools in the first quarter of 2026 (Gulf News). A managed rollout gets better results than leaving staff to work it out alone.
How does Gemini compare with Copilot, ChatGPT and Claude?
The usual rule is simple: Google Workspace companies start with Gemini, Microsoft 365 companies with Copilot. ChatGPT and Claude are strong standalone assistants that many teams add for specific work. Test each on your own tasks.
When do you need a custom agent?
Gemini helps people work faster. When the work should run on its own, such as answering customers on WhatsApp, processing every invoice or updating your CRM after every call, you need an AI agent connected to your systems, with rules, approvals and logs. We build agents on Gemini and other models depending on the task.
What should you measure?
- Weekly active users by team.
- Hours saved on the most common tasks.
- Meeting notes and follow-ups completed.
- Tasks moved to automated agents.
How should you train staff on Gemini?
- Train by role, not by feature. Finance needs Sheets analysis; sales needs Gmail and meeting follow-ups; managers need Drive summaries.
- Use five real tasks per team, taken from their own work, and show each one end to end.
- Keep a shared prompt library in a Google Doc per team, with examples that worked.
- Name a champion in each team who collects questions and good examples.
- Hold short office hours for the first month.
- Repeat the basics: check facts, never paste ID or card numbers, and know who to ask.
People keep using AI tools when they save time on work they do every week. Training built on those tasks gets far better adoption than a general demo. Our AI governance framework includes a one-page staff policy you can adapt.
